Anand Raj Anand

Anand Raaj Anand is an Indian composer, lyricist, and playback singer known for his work in the Hindi film industry. Born and brought up in Delhi, Anand moved to Bombay in 1995 and made his debut with his album, ‘Babu Tiptop’. He made his Bollywood debut in the subsequent year as the composer for the film, Masoom. Anand’s career spans over a decade and in his career, he has been the composer and music director of over 90 films, the lyricist for over 40 soundtracks, and has sung for no less than 45 films. He’s known to be responsible for composing some of the most iconic item songs, including ‘Bilo Rani’, ‘Jalebi Bai’ and ‘Hoth Rasiley’ to name a few. He also composed and performed the anthem for Commonwealth Games 2010 at the opening ceremony.
