A Banda Mais Bonita da Cidade is a Brazilian MPB/indie rock band that gained popularity in late May 2011 following the release of its music video "Oração" ("Prayer") on YouTube.

Life & Career

The band was formed in 2009 with the proposal to sing local authors, since then, researched the products of various composers, chose songs and began to rearrange them to leave the style of the group. He participated in musical performances at the Wonka Bar in Curitiba, such as Luiz Felipe Leprevost's show "Songs of Winter" and the show "A Saudade Mata Gente, Panaca" by Uyara Torrente. It was created and developed the idea of ​​producing the songs of composers from Curitiba. Because of the music video that originated the great success, the band competed for VMB 2011, in the category "Webclipe", being, however, defeated by Banda Uó with the song "Shake of Love".
