Monita Tahalea's name first emerged in singing contest Indonesian Idol Season 2 in 2005. Her voice captivated the judge and voters that she ended up being the fourth place in the competition. Leaving good impression on stage, she got offered by Indonesian Idol judge, musician Indra Lesmana, to debut her first album. Therefore, in 2010, she finally released album Dream, Hope, and Faith followed by Songs of Praise in 2013 and Dandelion in 2016.
