Bio

A leading multilingual playback vocalist in Indian cinema in the '90s, Udit Narayan went to Bombay on a music scholarship and trained for eight years as a classical vocalist. Narayan has been credited with launching the careers of several playback vocalists, including Kumar Sanu and Ravi Shankar.

Life & Career

Udit Narayan made his debut in 1980 in Bollywood playback. He is the only male singer in the history of the Filmfare Awards to have won in over three decades (the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s). In the 1990s, he sang for thousands of songs & appeared in more than 20 Bollywood films.
