Los Angeles-based electronic trio Cheat Codes debuted in 2015 with their single 'Visions.' The group's three members have deep roots in L.A., working on individual projects before joining forces. Their different backgrounds helped inform their stylistically varied sound, ranging from warm pop to outright big house bangers. As they gained exposure to social media and spins on streaming services, they joined the Chainsmokers on tour.

In 2016, Cheat Codes released 'Sex' and 'Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On).' They followed up with 'No Promises' with Demi Lovato. The trio provided remixes for high-profile singles by Thirty Seconds to Mars and U2. In 2018, they released other singles with Danny Quest and Kiiara. They've also worked with Afrojack, Trixie, Kaskade, and more on guest spots on their EP, Level 2.
