Sungai is an indie alternative band formed in 2016 from Yogyakarta. The band have been vocal with their fans about moving toward climate change and environmental issue.

Sungai's contribution to protest music as a movement can’t be ignored. Almost their songs speak about universe and the cycle of life, such as "Serigala Kecil," "Pohon," and "Siklus."
