Bimbo is a band from Bandung, Indonesia, founded around 1967. Bimbo's personnel consist of three brothers, Sam Bimbo, Acil Bimbo, and Jaka Bimbo. And in its development, their younger sister, Iin Parlina, was added.
Starting with the Bimbo Trio, which is heavily influenced by Latin music, Bimbo released his first album with Melati Dari Jayagiri as his hit song. In the 70s, Bimbo spawned ballad-themed songs that tended to 'offer' his poetic lyrics. However, in the middle of the year, Bimbo, who was strengthened by Iin Parlina, began to perform songs with daily themes. His songs include Abang Becak, Mustache, Hands, Eyes and others. Entering the era of the 80s Bimbo gave works with themes of social criticism such as Between Kabul and Beirut, Letters to Reagan and Brezhnev. And religious songs are also attached, beginning with the song God by Sam Bimbo, Sajadah, and others.
