Bio

BTS is the most successful K-pop act in U.S. chart history. They balance an energetic blend of dance-pop and hip-hop with deeply introspective lyrics. In 2018, their third full-length, the platinum-certified Love Yourself: Tear, topped the Billboard 200. They became the first all-South Korean act to top the Billboard Hot 100 with their single 'Dynamite' in 2020.

Life & Career

BTS was formed by producer Bang Si Hyuk. The group's debut album, Dark & Wild, was released in April 2015. It topped a record-setting six international music charts. Their fifth EP, Love Yourself: Her, became the first K-pop album to debut in the Billboard 200's Top Ten. In 2020, BTS released their fourth Korean-language album and second number one U.S. hit. The septet—consisting of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—co-writes and co-produces much of their own output. The members write their own lyrics, which tackle topics like mental health, self-acceptance, and empowerment. Their fourth Japanese-language effort is due out in 2020, and they will release their fourth Japanese album in 2020. They joined Lil Nas X on the Grammy Awards stage to perform RM's 'Seoul Town Road.'
