The Prodigy are an English electronic music group from Braintree, Essex, formed in 1990. The first line-up of the band also included MC and vocalist Maxim. The Prodigy first emerged in the underground rave scene in the early 1990s. They have sold an estimated 30 million records worldwide, and won numerous music awards. They are considered one of the most successful electronic acts of all time and have won two Grammy Award nominations.
Frontmen Keith Flint and Maxim Reality crossed over to the mainstream of pop music. Producer Liam Howlett's studio wizardry launched the group to the top of the charts during the late-'90s electronica boom. The Prodigy Experience was one of the first LPs by a rave act.The group's seventh consecutive Top 20 singles entry, 'One Love' was their last Top 20 hit. The Prodigy released another album in 2018, their seventh. The group's sixth consecutive U.K. chart-topper, No Tourists was supported by a brief international tour.
