Bio

Eazy-E was known for his unique delivery style, over-the-top lyrics, and raw sex appeal. He was a popular solo performer who also performed in the N.W.A. hip hop group, fondly called by his fans 'The Godfather of Gangsta rap.' He formed a partnership to form Brutal Records with his friend Jerry Heller and went on to develop his own unique style, deeply influenced by contemporary funk groups, rappers and comedians.

Life & Career

In 1986, Eazy-E established Niggaz With Attitude, the hip-hop group, N.W.A. In 1987, the group produced 'The Posse' It consisted of several tracks produced by Dr. Dre. The album was Gold Certified in the U.S. Eazy-E released his debut EP ‘5150: Home 4 tha Sick’ in 1992. It was his first solo venture after the disbanding of N.W.A. It peaked at No. 70 on the Billboard 200. He continued his streak of success with the release of the EP 'It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa' in 1993. It peaked at No. 5 on Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip and was certified multi- platinum within a year of its release. It was the last work he completed before his untimely death in 1995.
