Bio

Sonny John Moore a.k.a Skrillex, is acclaimed for his music videos and albums like 'First of the Year', 'Bangarang', and 'My Name is Skrillex.' He has bagged eight Grammy Awards till date. His career as a musician and singer took off when he volunteered to play the guitar for the rock band 'From First to Last.' Skrillex joined forces with bands like 'All Time Low', Forever the Sickest Kids, and 'The Matches' as a soloist & resumed performing and recording albums using his stage name 'SkrilLex.' He considers ‘The Doors’, ‘Nine Inch Nails’, ‘Marilyn Manson’, ‘Squarepusher’ and ‘Aphex Twin’ as his early musical influences.

Life & Career

Skrillex first joined the American post-hardcore band From First to Last as the lead singer in 2004 but left to pursue a solo career in 2007. Subsequently, he released the Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites EP in late–2010 and More Monsters and Sprites EP in mid–2011, both of which have since become moderate commercial successes. Skrillex has collaborated with Diplo and Boys Noize to form the groups of Jack Ü and Dog Blood respectively. Skrillex's fifth EP, 2011's Bangarang, hit No. 14 on the Billboard 200. His debut full-length album, 2014's Recess, peaked at No. 4. He scored his first Top 10 hit with "Where Are Ü Now" featuring Diplo and Justin Bieber.
