Drake is a Canadian rapper , singer and songwriter who has recently emerged as one of the best rappers in the world. He began his career as an actor in the Canadian TV series 'Degrassi: The Next Generation,' but soon turned to music, which has been his passion since childhood. He started his musical journey with a number of self-released mixtapes. As he became popular, he released an EP titled 'So Far Gone.' Drake later released four studio albums, 'Thank Me Later,' 'Take Care,' 'Nothing Was The Same' and 'Views.' His songs are characterised by his narcissistic lyrics, often dealing with his personal experiences and relationships with women.

Drake became famous for his debut studio album 'Thank Me Later' which debuted on the US 'Billboard 200' chart at No.1. The album sold 1,83 million copies in the United States and earned Platinum certification in Canada and the United States. Drake’s second studio album, 'Take Care,' also debuted No.1 on the US 'Billboard 200,' selling over 631,000 copies in the first week. The album was certified Platinum in the United States , the United Kingdom and Canada. 'Nothing Was Same,' his third studio album, has received both critical acclaim and commercial success. It was named the 'Best Album of the Year' by a number of magazines. The album sold more than 1.78 million copies in the United States alone and achieved Platinum status in the United States , the United Kingdom and Canada.
