From Stefani Germanotta to Lady Gaga to Mother Monster, she is known for reinventing herself throughout her career and for her versatility. Matriarch to millions of fans also known as 'Little Monsters' all over the world; Gaga got her first break in 2008 with the album 'The Fame.' Her songs became chartbusters and party anthems, earning her three Grammy awards. The 'Born this way' singer is also an activist & claims she would “take a bullet” for the LGBT+ community.

Life & Career

Lady Gaga was discovered by R&B singer Akon while performing in a burlesque show. Akon signed the performer to his label under the Interscope umbrella, Kon Live. Through 2007 and 2008, Gaga wrote and recorded her debut album, The Fame. The record received positive reviews and was successful in the United States. Lady Gaga's debut single, ‘Just Dance,’ was released in 2008 & received both popular and commercial acclaim. The second single ‘Poker Face,’ earned Gaga even more success. In 2015, Gaga earned a Golden Globe for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. She returned to the show for its sixth season. In 2016, she performed at the 88th Annual Academy Awards, performing ‘Til It Happens to You.’ With her sixth studio album, Chromatica, Gaga released the dance-worthy single ‘Stupid Love’ & the collab with Ariana Grande, ‘Rain On Me’ in 2020. Furthermore, Gaga had partnered up with Global Citizen, an environmental activist organization, to organize the April 2020 virtual concert ‘One World: Together At Home.’ The concert, including performances by luminaries such as Paul McCartney, Elton John and Taylor Swift, raised over $127 million to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
