Brandy is one of the few artists to gain mainstream success as a teenager and make seamless creative transitions over a multi-decade career. The singer and actor debuted in the post-new swing era like Mary J. Life & Career

Brandy started her career as backing vocal for teen groups. After signing with Atlantic Records in 1993, Brandy released her self-titled album which certified quadruple platinum in the US.
