Madonna is one of the most popular international artists, often referred to as the 'Queen of Pop' She had an affinity for dancing, and moved to New York in a quest to chase her dream, continuing her dance training and participating in bands. Her talent was soon noticed and she was awarded her first solo contract. The skilled performer has never looked down since and has rapidly ascended the performance scale. Madonna created a lot of records and noted her name on the 'Guinness World Record.' The creative artist has won numerous awards. She has been called an emblem of beauty and some of her compositions are known to be classics.

In 1982, her first solo album 'Everybody' was launched which topped the dance charts. The title track of the album retained the first position on 'Billboard Chart' for six weeks. In 1984, her album 'Like a Virgin' hit the music stores and became a huge success. Her album ‘True Blue’ was immensely successful containing the songs ‘Papa Don’t Preach’, ‘Live to Tell’ and ‘Open Your Heart’ which topped the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ list. The album was placed on top of the charts in more than 28 countries. Her compilation album ‘The Immaculate Collection’ became a hit and earned her a place in the history of music by registering as the ‘best-selling compilation album by a solo artist’.
