Collective formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2013, Heavy Dance celebrates parties throughout Brazil and brings a new fusion of funk and electronic music.
Life & Career
Mixing electronic sounds with traditional funk-beaten beatings, the result is a progressive movement of musical and cultural empowerment from the periphery, led by Leo Justi and accompanied by MC Tchelinho, DJ Thai plus the dancers team formed by Sabrina Ginga, Ronald Sheick and Negubites. It's all about broadcasting to a wider audience new approaches to musical creation, exploring aesthetics hitherto associated and restricted to urban suburbs and ghettos.
