Istanbul born, Ilkay Sencan is a Turkish EDM artist. Sencan first got the music bug at the age of 17 after a long love of listening to trance music. After a year of messing around and learning about various software programs, he began to remix his favorite tracks which led him to churn out his own unique sound, which can only be described as ‘Gangster House’. Sencan came into the limelight when his remake of Burry Soprano’s track, ‘Mary Jane’ became Number 1 on Turkish charts. This was followed by ‘Rockstar’ with Dynoro - a remake of Post Malone’s 2017 hit and it went on to garner over 200 million views on YouTube. He collaborated with Belgian producer, Yves V in January 2020 and released the dance hit, ‘Not So Bad’. The track is currently making high waves in the EDM scene and received international support, favored by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and DJs including Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Oliver Heldens & MK. He also released a new version of ‘Mary Jane’ with the Swedish singer Arash. The single embodies the overall sound of Gangster House alongside Arash’s trademark Persian melodic influence.
