Vanessa Sigiane da Mata Ferreira (born 10 February 1976), professionally known as Vanessa da Mata, is a Latin Grammy Award-winning Brazilian MPB singer, songwriter, and novelist. She has released four studio albums and the songs "Ai, Ai, Ai", "Boa Sorte/Good Luck" and "Amado" became number-one hits in Brazil.

Life & Career

The debut came with the album of the same name in 2002. Vanessa's debut album put her name on top of that year's biggest hits, pulled by the hit "Don't Leave Me Alone". The second work, "This Doll Has Manual (With Bonus Range)", released two years later, Vanessa da Mata made a flood of new hits. Their music broke out all over Brazil, with tracks like "Still Good", "Red" and "Ai, Ai, Ai, a smash hit." Ai, Ai, Ai "was the most played song in the country in the year. In 2007, Vanessa da Mata released her third album, "Yes", this time reaching the international market, thanks to "Good Luck / Good Luck", duet with Ben Harper. In addition, Vanessa was among the most played of the year with the romantic "Beloved". In 2017 Vanessa releases her new DVD "Caixinha de Música", bringing new compositions, as well as hits that made Vanessa one of the biggest stars in the country.
