Bio

Nucleya‘s unique usage of Indian street sounds has made him a countrywide phenomenon, and he’s managed to bridge the gap between indie and mainstream in a way that few artists have. Nucleya’s kitsch, bass-heavy sound has been lapped up by the masses and he continues to release new music, stretching the limits of his genre. Udyan’s rise to the top was preceded by decades of struggle, and before he became Nucleya, he was well recognised for having founded Bandish Projekt with fellow musician Mayur Narvekar, and then-manager Mehirr Nath Chopra. Now as Nucleya, he has countless milestones under his belt, along with a some much-loved albums and the dedicated fan-base to sell-out a stadium.

Life & Career

From 1997 to the early 2000s, Nucleya was a part of the Ahmadabad based band Bandish Projekt. After building a name in the Ahmedabad circuit, Bandish Projekt started doing gigs in Mumbai and Delhi and was even invited to play in London, after which the group disbanded. After leaving Bandish Projekt, what followed was a low period in his career. He had moved to Delhi and was performing as a Resident DJ at a club. Which led to his first album Koocha Monster in 2015, and since then things started picking up. His album, ‘Raja Baja’ released in 2016, at a historic event at NSCI Stadium, Mumbai, was attended by 12,000+ fans. This was followed by a mammoth, pan-India 18-city album launch tour – the biggest-ever tour attempted by an independent artist in India.
