Ammy Virk

Ammy Virk, born as Amrinderpal Singh Virk, is a Punjabi singer, film actor and producer who owns his production house under the name 'Villagers Film Studios.' He is considered to be one of the best Punjabi singers and actors, both critically and commercially. He is best known for playing Nikka in Nikka Zaildar (film series), Shivjit in Qismat and Haakam in Angrej. And most prominently known for his Patiala-Shahi turban.

Ammy Virk began his singing career with a single track that went on to become very successful. Later, he performed other songs, including 'Yaar Amli' and 'Jatt Da Sahara' which popularised him globally in the Punjabi music industry. His first album 'Jattizm' was released in 2013 and received the 'Best Album of The Year' award at the PTC Music Awards. His most famous song is 'Qismat,' which was released in 2017, after which movie was titled. Virk began his acting career with Hakam in the super hit Punjabi film Angrej co-starring Amrinder Gill in 2015 for his role in the film he won the Best Debut Actor Award at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards. He also acted in some other super-hit movies like Bambukat, Ardaas, Nikka Zaildar, Laung Laachi and Qismat. His films Angrej and Qismat are the fifth and sixth biggest Punjabi films of all time.
