Sumedha Karmahe

As a little girl, Sumedha Karmahe started singing before she could speak! She quickly became popular for her singing in her native town. While growing up, Sumedha sometimes performed with Rajbharti Orchestra, Rajnandgaon, participating in every singing competition held in her city and state and winning most of them. She became famous for winning the Saregamapa Chhattisgarh competition in 2004.

After the success of the Saregama Challenge, Sumedha toured the West Indies, the USA and Canada in a series of concerts in 2007. She has performed the prestigious IDEA Rock Concert Series 2008 along with leading Indian playback singer Shaan. Sumedha performed in 14 concerts of this series in 14 cities throughout India. She has also been given leading roles in a variety of television shows on various television channels but being genuinely committed to her singing, she has declined all acting offers. Her first released playback was in a Santosh Sivan film named Tahaan. She has done playbacks in 5 different languages. Till date, she has 3 singles - Bawre Nain, Yaadein, Darmiyaan to her credit.
