Elza Soares

Elza da Conceição Soares, known professionally as Elza Soares (born June 23, 1937) is a Brazilian samba singer.

.I n 1999, she was named Brazilian Singer of the Millennium by BBC Radio Radio. The choice originated in the project The Millennium Concerts, created to commemorate the arrival of the year 2000. In addition, Soares appears in the list of the 100 greatest voices of the Brazilian music elaborated by the magazine Rolling Stone Brazil.
