Bio

Perhaps one of the most influential rock bands of the '60s was the Velvet Underground. A niche following and some critics loved them tremendously, but the general public viewed them with disdain. Their cults only got bigger and stronger in the years after their collapse, and they continued to grow over the years. In the 1980s they were accepted not only as a major rock band, but as one of the best of all time. The Velvet Underground performed at the Troubleshooter, a one-off charity concert held at Central Park in New York on 23 June 1987.
