James Bay

James Michael Bay (born 4 September 1990) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. Bay's career peaked after received three nominations at the 2016 Grammy Awards, for Best New Artist, Best Rock Album, and Best Rock Song.

Bay been interested with music since he was little. He starts performing at the open mic nights at Notting Hill Arts Club in London. Republic Records, who saw his performance video on Youtube, decided to signing with him. His debut EP titled "The Dark of the Morning" that released in 2013. The second EP 'Let it Go' released in 2014 and peaked at number 10 in the UK charts. Then, he relased his debut album "Chaos and the Calm". The album also charted high in the UK charts. Bay released his second album "Electric Light" in 2018 and charted number 2 in the UK Albums chart and charted 21 on the US Billboard 200. In 2019, Bay released a single "Peer Pressure" where singer Julia Michaels featuring in the song.
