Bio

Selena Gomez is one of the most successful 'Disney' child actors of all time. At the age of 22, Gomez had already received fifty-eight prestigious awards. She believes in social causes and fights for the welfare of impoverished children and abandoned animals. Gomez claims that her inspiration as a music artist comes from the famous Bruno Mars, Britney Spears, Skrillex, and Taylor Swift. Gomez is a multi-talented performer with featured roles on the screen, both small and big. Her group Selena Gomez & the Scene issued a trio of breezy modern pop albums from 2009 to 2011. After going solo, she scored a pair of number ones with the more adult-oriented 'Stars Dance' and 'Revival.' She hit the top of the singles chart for the first time with ‘Lose You to Love Me’ in 2019.

Life & Career

Gomez began branching out into pop music by recording songs for her own Disney projects. She sang the theme song for The Wizards of Waverly Place. By 2009, she'd also assembled her own teen pop band, Selena Gomez & the Scene. The band's full-length debut, Kiss & Tell, was released that year and went gold. In early 2015, Gomez guested on Zedd's hit EDM single 'I Want You to Know.' On the heels of that success, she released her own single, 'Good for You.' The song featured on the 2015 album Revival, her first for Interscope. It entered the Billboard 200 at the top and spawned three singles that reached the top ten. Gomez released her sixth album, Rare, in 2016. It was her first single to reach the top of the Billboard charts. She's working on a seventh album in 2020, her first solo album in five years & continues to collaborate with other artists including Cardi B and Benny Blanco.
